Privacy policy

OpenParcels works without an account. This page explains which data goes through the service, why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights. The French version is the binding one.

1. Data controller

in:Expeditions, 8 rue Lacépède, 75005 Paris, France. Contact: contact@openparcels.eu.

2. Using the map

No sign-up, no identifier. To show a plot card, the coordinates you tap are sent to our servers, which query public sources: IGN API Carto, the French national address base, the French planning portal, DVF (French tax authority), and depending on the country PDOK (Netherlands), swisstopo (Switzerland) or the Dirección General del Catastro (Spain).

Your browser loads map tiles directly (OpenFreeMap, data.gouv.fr) and sends address searches to Photon (Komoot). As with any website, these providers see your IP address.

This data is only used to run the map. No profile is built.

3. Audience measurement

We use Plausible Analytics: no cookies, no personal data, no stored IP addresses. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Call-back requests

When you fill in a contact form, we receive:

  • your first name and your phone number or email address;
  • details of the plot: cadastral id, area, planning zone, orientation, address;
  • the date, your IP address and the consent wording, as proof of consent.

Purpose: passing your request to one single partner professional who will contact you. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

OpenParcels is paid by the partner for this introduction. Your data is never sold for other purposes or shared with several partners.

Technical processors:

  • Netlify, Inc. (États-Unis, Data Privacy Framework) — Hébergement du site et stockage des demandes de contact (Netlify Blobs)
  • Plausible Insights OÜ (UE) — Mesure d’audience sans cookie, si activée

5. Advertising and cookies

By default the site sets no advertising cookies. The only thing stored on your device is your unit preference (m² or sq ft), in your browser’s local storage.

If Google AdSense ads are shown, a certified consent window (IAB TCF) asks for your choice first. You can change it at any time.

No advertising cookies are currently used.

6. Public data shown

Sale prices come from the French DVF database, which contains no buyer or seller names. Individual sales are not indexed by search engines, and our public pages only show medians.

If information about your property bothers you, write to contact@openparcels.eu and we can hide it.

7. Retention

  • Call-back requests and consent proof: at most 12 months after collection, then deleted.
  • Audience statistics: aggregated and anonymous.

8. Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and you can withdraw your consent. Write to contact@openparcels.eu. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
